This shoot was an absolute dream. Paula Robison has been one of my flute heroes since sixth grade when I started playing out of her flute warmup book. There are no words to adequately describe her musicianship, but I can tell you that I’ve been listening to her recording of the Prokofiev Sonata on repeat all week, and each time I get chills all over again. Leaving my lesson with her in Boston last weekend, I was totally elated, and it was a good reminder of why I’m pursuing a degree in music performance.
We took these photos at and around her home, which is surrounded by gorgeous landscapes (some of which she gardens herself!) I couldn’t have pictured a better setting for the session.
Special thanks to Adam for all your help that morning!! You’re the best lawn-raking, purse-carrying assistant I’ve ever had š
