- Mistletoe: A Christmas Story – A sweet tale about a little mouse who knits her way into the true meaning of friendship and giving.
- Last Stop on the Reindeer Express – This story truly touched me, and it would be especially meaningful if you’re part of a family that can’t all be together on Christmas.
- 12 Days of Christmas (The Christmas Choir) – A gorgeously illustrated take on the classic.
- Christmas Train – You can read this as a traditional book, but it also folds out into one long cardboard train that’s fun to play with!
- When Santa Was a Baby – A hilarious and heartwarming peek at Santa’s early years and how he became the jolly man we know today. I appreciated the parents’ perspective in this one!
- Waltz of the Snowflakes – A little girl discovers the magic of attending The Nutcracker ballet with her mom. The illustrations in this wordless book take my breath away.
- The Tree That’s Meant to Be – An imperfect tree that finds its perfect place in the world. This cover is one of my all-time faves, and it makes me smile every time I see it on the bookshelf!
- Pick a Pine Tree – A joyful celebration of the family tradition of choosing and decorating the Christmas tree together.
- Little Robin’s Christmas – A touching tale about kindness and the warmth that comes from giving to others.
- The Little Reindeer – A beautifully illustrated, quiet story of friendship between a girl and a lost reindeer.
- Tallulah’s Nutcracker – A young ballerina finds courage and magic on stage despite some mishaps.
- Little Penguins – The simplicity and classic illustrations of this book made it a favorite when my daughter was a toddler.
- Claris: Holiday Heist – A fashionable little mouse faces festive chaos and sparkle-filled adventures in Paris at Christmastime. The designer illustrations in this are so fab!
- Have Yourself a Hairy Little Christmas – A touch-and-feel book that my baby adored when she was one.
- Elf: The Classic Illustrated Storybook – This does such a beautiful job of summarizing the movie with fun illustrations.
- Tough Cookie: A Christmas Story – A funny, sweet twist on the gingerbread tale about friendship and being true to yourself.
- The Great Spruce – A family heirloom tree takes on a new journey. I loved this story and it’s quite unlike any other holiday books we read.
- Christmas Is Coming! An Advent Book – A festive countdown filled with cozy crafts, recipes, and joyful holiday traditions.
