I’m a Texas native and have been doing photography sessions in San Antonio for five years now (?!?), but believe it or not, this was my first EVER bluebonnet session. Somehow, they’ve either bloomed before or after I was home, or haven’t bloomed at all due to lack of rain. I was so pleasantly surprised last weekend to arrive in San Antonio and see the beautiful wildflowers sprouting up everywhere!

The really lucky part was that we found a safe spot to take these pictures. The most beautiful wildflowers often grow on highway medians, but the last thing I want is for anyone to get hurt while dashing across 2-3 lanes. For those of you who live in San Antonio, we found this lovely hill right next to the Home Depot at 1604 & Culebra, conveniently located right next to a parking lot. Grab your camera and head out this week before the flowers disappear! There is never a better time for family pictures than now!!
