I first met Adam when he visited Eastman and gave a lecture on the art of listening to and differentiating between recordings. He later emailed me asking if I would be interested in coming to Boston for a photography job, not realizing that Kate the Musician and Kate the Photographer were in fact the same person. Of course I couldn’t turn down a weekend in Boston, and I’m so glad that I was able to visit. Adam became a great mentor to me over the weekend– he is such an intuitive person, so much so that he could practically read my mind. With his musical insight and encouragement about photography, I left Boston feeling inspired to start my senior year at Eastman. Adam, thank you SO MUCH for everything…I’m glad I had the chance to spend a couple of days of conversation with you!
