I’m trying to wrap my head around the fact that we’re almost a third of the way through 2018…where has the time gone?! I’ve really enjoyed the past few months (ahem…minus the April snow), and even though time is disappearing faster than a cupcake placed in my hands ?, I’m grateful for everything I’ve been able to see and do so far.
At the top of my list? The families I photographed during the past few months! I purposefully limited my winter sessions this year in order to work on some huge long-term projects for my clients and my photography students (and re-charge a bit after a packed fall season), so that made me extra thankful whenever I did have the chance to get behind the camera!
I always enjoy winter sessions because I photograph them at my clients’ homes, which means I travel all over the city to document families in a space that’s meaningful and personal to them. Winter is already a peaceful time since everyone hunkers down here in Boston, but that peace is multiplied everytime I step into the home of a snuggly, joyful family (especially when there’s a newborn in the house!). It’s a really special privilege that I don’t take for granted!
This post is filled with over 50 of my favorite images taken in the last few months. I feel lucky to have worked with these families, and I hope the images make you smile as much as I did while photographing them!
OH, and the one engagement session in there is actually my BROTHER and his fianceé! Matt and Rianne are getting married in December in our hometown of San Antonio, and I can’t wait!!! 🙂
