Vanessa + Andrew | Wedding Photography on Northeastern Campus

I love it when KLP couples choose unique backdrops to showcase their personalities, so Vanessa definitely won my heart with the following request for her wedding portraits: “I want the photos to look like we lived in art. I want to capture us and our special moment, but also to capture the beautiful city that we call home. Because the locations for the session are so embedded within our relationship (in some ways I feel like the places are a part of us), I want the photos to reflect that.” Yes please!!

On an early fall day in September, these two were married in a tiny ceremony after eight years together. We celebrated afterward by documenting their first moments as newlyweds. The weather was absolutely perfect — it was the kind of day where we could get away with drinking pumpkin-flavored beverages, but it was still warm enough that you might believe it was summer if you didn’t know the date. We spent a couple of hours scooting from place to place, capturing all of the spots that kindled their relationship as students at Northeastern and Wentworth. We hit the magical fountain at the Christian Science Plaza, some classic and quirky spots on the Northeastern campus, and the Back Bay Fens, a hidden little slice of heaven frequented by Fenway residents.

Vanessa & Andrew, thank you again for inviting me to be a part of your big day! It was an honor to get a glimpse of your lives together, and I wish you all the best in your marriage!
