I don’t know how I get so lucky — so many times my KLP couples become my friends in “real life” too. And Lauren & Chip definitely fall into that category! They kept me laughing from the moment I met them at Christopher Columbus Park until the moment we waved goodbye on the Esplanade. And I’m still laughing as I look at the pumpkin on my desk, a sweet gift that they brought to my office. In true Lauren and Chip fashion, it says “Thank you! – The future Duvals” on the front (in Lauren’s handwriting), and on the back is a drawing of a ghost saying “Boo!” (clearly Chip’s contribution!). I’m such a fan of the two of them, separately and together, and I love that being a photographer allows me to document awesome partnerships like theirs.
We photographed their session on a perfect September day in Boston, complete with sunshine so crisp that you could see the individual rays of light. We covered some very meaningful spots to them, starting with Christopher Columbus Park (where Chip proposed), working our way through some hidden spots in the North End, and ending along the Charles River. Between dreamy weeping willows, cobblestone goodness, and a little healthy Yankees vs. Sox rivalry, we created a set of images that I’m sure will remain among my favorites for a long time!
Love you two, Lauren & Chip! Thank you for making our photo adventure such a blast!
