katya + vasily, married! | boston city hall wedding photographer

I feel so lucky that Katya and Vasily contacted me to be their post-wedding photographer! Although I no longer photograph wedding ceremonies, I really enjoy the chance to get to know couples in a more intimate setting.

Vasily and Katya had been together over six years when they spontaneously decided to tie the knot a few weeks ago. Their wedding day was particularly special because Katya’s father flew all the way from Russia to be there for the ceremony! As a couple, Katya and Vasily have such a special connection, and it was amazing to witness their first moments as husband and wife.

How they met: “We met six and a half years ago, when she worked as a teacher of German, and I saw her when I came to visit my teammate at his college. I wanted to get her phone number the first time I saw her, but I thought it would be too boring. So, I asked her email address and sent her an email the same evening. We started talking via email, then phone and later found out that we had been living one block from each other.” -Vasily

“At our first date, there was a feeling that we had been knowing each other all our lives, we were so alike. I felt like I was missing him all my life, that he was the one, the one for me in the whole universe.” -Katya
