I met this toddler’s parents at J.P. Licks, one of my favorite spots for ice cream in Boston. When they walked in, this little guy was passed out COLD. However, once the sugar rush from his ice cream cone kicked in, it took all of my energy to keep up with him! He would occasionally pause, turn around to show me a really sneaky face, and then keep running as fast as his legs would carry him. I alternated between cracking up and pressing my shutter finger as fast as it would possibly go. 😉
I thought I couldn’t possibly run any faster…UNTIL we reached the boats, and he kicked up his speed a few more notches! His mama told me he loves boats, and he was totally in his element at the boating dock that I scouted for this session. He seemed like he was having the time of his life, climbing from kayak to kayak and “anchoring” the boats like a true sailor. I had so much fun observing his imagination and joy.
My favorite moment? When we found a boat with the number 2 on it, which is his exact age. How fun!!
