Family Photos in Boston’s Spring Cherry Blossoms

Oh my gooooodnesss, this cherub of a baby girl just puts the biggest smile on my face every time I see her photos! We took these at the Arnold Arboretum when she was nine months old, which is such a sweet and under-celebrated age for baby photographs. By this point she was solidly sitting AND she was walking with parents, so we were able to take a beautiful combination of solo and family photos.

We ended up with a chilly and overcast early spring day, but we decided to go ahead with the session since it was one of the last days that the cherry blossoms would be at their peak. Originally mama had planned to put her daughter in just the floral bubble, but she added the cardigan and tights to keep her comfortable in the cold weather. It’s always a smart idea to have backup options on hand like she did, and I love the look of lots of textured layers!
