This engagement photography session was like a dream! Christina is a classical violinist and Darren’s an investment banker. The bride to be and I went to school together at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester. She flew me out to San Francisco to take photos of her and her fiancé in Menlo Park. This beautiful couple lives in Singapore but were visiting San Francisco because Christina’s brother lives there and works at Google. California gifted us with the most gorgeous natural light, and I wish I could’ve bottled some up to bring back to Boston!

I just adore their love story. Christina and Darren went to middle school together in Singapore and have known each other since they were 13 years old! They affectionately say that they used to be “enemies” but became closer friends after Darren went to high school and Christina went to Eastman. They saw each other once a year, and sometimes only every two years, when Christina went home for the summers. Eventually they became best friends, but were separated again when Darren joined the army in Singapore (2 years of National Service is mandatory for all male citizens) and Christina moved to Toronto to attend the Music Academy of the West. Despite the distance they stayed in touch. So romantic! Their love for one another grew and they got engaged May 2015. Congratulations you two!! It was a pleasure to capture your love for one another.
