This is my fabulous pianist, Chiao-Wen Cheng, whom I work with on a regular basis at Eastman. I had forgotten all about these pictures until I randomly ran into her at the Minneapolis airport a few days ago on my way back from Utah.
We took these photos last semester on our way to a competition in Ithaca, NY. It was a misty fall day, and the trees had already turned beautiful colors. We passed this red barn, and I suddenly told her to pull off to the side of the road for a couple of quick photos. It was such a picturesque little place…right in front of the barn, there were ears of corn and pumpkins for sale. Behind the barn was an old abandoned school bus as well as a gorgeous stretch of untamed field. I could have shot there for hours.
