This sweet family of four is about to head back home to Brazil after a year-long adventure in Boston, and they asked me to document their last moments in the city that they came to love so much. I’m sad they’re leaving, but I’m grateful I had a chance to document a glimpse of their lives before they take off!
Their two young girls have such distinct personalities, and I enjoyed spotting their differences over the course of our time together. The little one is feisty, and if given a choice, will always leave the group to go exploring on her own. She has strong opinions about her wardrobe (no headbands, please!) and stirs up well-intentioned trouble (see the image below where she’s rubbing one of the balloons on her dad’s head — ha!). Big sister was much more quiet at first, but once we warmed up to each other, her heart of gold just shone (the pictures with her mama just melt me). And the two sisters together? They’re not the hugging type, but that doesn’t mean they’re having any less fun. They seemed content just to play in the dirt side by side as silent partners-in-crime.
Oh, and the love that mom and dad have for each other — are you kidding me?! As I was scrolling through their images for the first time, I found a photo of the two of them where it looks like he’s tearing up and she has the most joyful smile on her face. Clearly they can do anything together…including an international family adventure!
