Proof that I still take pictures of people other than my daughter 😉 It’s been wild to jump back into photographing families professionally again. In some ways the job feels exactly the same as my last pre-COVID sessions in March 2020 (the pace is still a million miles a minute while I’m chasing toddlers), but in other ways everything has changed. I’ve always had the heart of a mom, but now I have a bit of experience as one too. I know firsthand how much planning and hope can go into getting *just one* photo where you actually managed to blow-dry your hair and the kids aren’t squirming out of your arms. I know how endless the day-to-day grind can sometimes feel, and how much it means to have photos of the beautiful parts of parenthood – less poopy diapers and more sweet chubby hands grabbing your face.
Here are a few images from the first ten sessions I’ve photographed since coming back! These frames don’t even come close to capturing the depth and kindness of each of these families, but I’ll leave them here anyway. My calendar is filled with returning clients this season, and every time I walk up to a session, it feels like reuniting with old friends. I hope I’m doing justice to everything you’ve achieved and overcome these last couple of years. I’ve really missed you all!
Oh, and on a housekeeping note – my calendar is completely booked for 2021. Thank you!!! 🙏 I will potentially book in-home sessions for Jan-March 2022 depending on how things go with COVID and vaccines for the littles….more details as soon as possible🤞
