Since Yang graduated from BC and these two spent a large part of their dating years on the campus, it only made sense to take their engagement photos at Boston College!

We chose the date months in advance with the hopes of capturing the best of the spring blooms, and the campus did NOT disappoint! With Boston College graduation having just finished, students had already cleared out of the campus, but the grounds facilities had pulled out all of the stops to get the campus ready for parental approval. We got to enjoy the fruits of their labor, and combined with Jane & Yang’s love (one for the storybooks), this easily ranked as one of my favorite sessions of all time!

My favorite images of the day were the ones we photographed on the Higgins Stairs (the “Million Dollar Stairs”) with Middle Campus looking like a true real-life Disney castle in the background. We even lucked out with pink flowers to frame the staircase!

We actually met in person before they booked their session so that we could go over outfit planning and get to know each other before introducing my camera into the mix. Jane ran with my styling advice and totally nailed it! Their elegant, clean outfits reminded me a little of the classic movie stars and kept the focus on their love for each other.
