When all else fails…

…you bring out the ice cream! Seriously, this family was so sweet at their snap session–we just needed a quick bribe for smiles :)

These two are were so comfortable (they’ve known each other since childhood) and fun to photograph. Maria and Lance are fairly new to San Antonio and wanted urban pictures, so I thought Broadway was the perfect location for them. There are plenty of colorful buildings with character down that street, and we found great settings for their engagement photos. A couple of highlights included an auto repair shop with the words “get serviced here” on the side (the mechanic in the front informed us that we weren’t the first people to take pictures there–apparently sororities take group photos there?!), and a visit to the Sonic drive-in. The couple had never been there before (!!!!) so I bought them their first-ever slushie for a break from the heat :)

Erin has been waiting for these so very patiently for the last week, and here they finally are: her senior portraits!
She and her dad met me out at the Japanese Tea Gardens for an early morning session. Even at the very beginning of the day, you wouldn’t believe how hot it was, but she was such a trooper and I think she looks stunning in her portraits!

Haha, you’ve gotta love that title…taking these twins’ senior photos called for a super cheesy “twins phrase”…
But all kidding aside…I’ve known these girls for a few years and had a great time photographing their senior pictures. This was my first shoot back in San Antonio, and it was a great way to kick off the week. Seriously, they look so beautiful! And cute clothes to match, I loved it!
