the friday five v.2 | rochester musician photographer

A last-minute Friday Five for this week:

1) Snow. I never thought I would say this, but I’m actually glad it’s snowing up here again…it’s really abnormal for the ground to be clear in the middle of a Rochester January. Here’s an old picture, but I love it so much that it’s totally worth re-posting.

2) Th Fountainhead. I love my dog-eared copy and I’ve been really getting into the book this week. Also, I’m not gonna lie, I totally have a crush on Howard Roark.

3) One For My Baby, a CD I picked up on a whim at Starbucks. I totally love the nostalgic feel to these songs, and certain renditions such as Peggy Lee’s “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” totally put a smile on my face :)

4) These butterflies that hang in my room. I bought them from Park Leigh this summer, and they’re probably my favorite part of my space.

5) Oh Zip Car, how I love thee. Seriously, since I don’t have a car here in Rochester, the Zip Car has been a lifesaver. It’s basically a rental car that you rent by the half-hour (I pay about $7 an hour). Whenever you need it, you just reserve it online and unlock it using the card they send you in the mail. The cars are eco-friendly and you don’t have to pay for gas or parking.
