I just LOVE in-home newborn photography! There is nothing more special than being invited to document the first weeks of a baby’s life with his new family.
This particular cutie is a brand new resident of Beacon Hill, which is home to lots of gorgeous architecture and cobblestone goodness. With the comfortable summer weather we’ve been having, we were able to take some rare outdoor newborn photos! That shot of him all cuddled up on Acorn St. just melts my heart…and we only had to walk a block to take it, too!
Beyond photos of the baby by himself, it’s always special to be able to photograph the relationships that form between the new arrival and the rest of the family. The images of his mama holding him close particularly speak to me — oh, what I wouldn’t give to have images like that with my own mom! I also adore the photos with his toddler big bro. Although he did give the baby one quick kiss, most of the time the big guy was content to show off for the camera in his own cute way. The black & white photo of him jumping out of the family photo cracks me up! 😉
J, thanks again for inviting me to photograph your beautiful family. I can’t wait to see you guys grow together as a new party of four! xo
