Rachel and her family are no strangers to this blog, as this is our fourth session together! I can’t get enough of her and her sweet babies, and I so admire her strength and sense of humor throughout her motherhood journey. This is a woman who oozes creativity and honesty, who would drop everything in a split second to help someone in need, and who is the most fiercely loving mama to her three babies (while somehow managing to run a kickass business at the same time). People like her are a rare find in this world, and I’m grateful for her heart full of rainbows every time she’s in front of my camera.
Every time I photograph her family, I can’t wait to show up and see what magic she’s planned for their outfits! This time she chose beautiful pastel hues for spring. These outfits are a great example of a fail-proof formula for planning your own family’s clothing! Here it is: 1️⃣ Start with a colorful piece that you love (here it’s mama’s Chicwish dress) 2️⃣ add a smaller, subtle pattern (dad’s shirt) 3️⃣ For the rest of the family, use solid colors pulled from the colorful outfit. Rachel gets bonus points for adding lots of texture (tulle and chunky knits always look adorable on kids!) Easy peasy! 🙌
